Our school was founded in 1991 by (then Jo Kyo Nym) Timothy T. Seitz, Sa Bum Nym . After a tumultuous beginning deep in the basement of a University gymnasium, the club gained increasing notice on campus through seemingly endless demonstrations and by word-of-mouth.

Now, Kuk Sool Won™ at the University of Illinois is supported by over 100 current members. Although member attendance is often dictated by harsh class-loads and erratic hours, the dojang is always full and the students' clamor for more training is relentless.
